
Multi Day Guided Walk
Length: 75 Kms.
This guided walk is the Southern part of the "Endless Beach" walk.
The walk starts at the Aranga beach settlement, just below the famed Maunganui Bluff and goes south all the way to Poutu along or next to the longest beach in New Zealand.
On the way we will be able to view ship wrecks, collect shellfish, fish for your supper, view absolutely majestic sunsets and enjoy the peace and tranquility of this forgotten part of New Zealand.
We will camp, stay in various types of accomodation with frequent land based top ups of food, drink and the other trappings of civilisation.
What to bring.
Plenty of film or batteries for the camera. Good walking shoes. Swimming togs and towel. Warm clothes and rain protection.
Fitness level.
The walk will take approx 7 full days (6 - 10 hours) dependent upon the weather. During the walk there are a number of places where we can shelter if necessary.
You will be supplied with a lightweight pack and overnight safety equipment (Including rations) just in case we get caught out. Approx weight is 3 Kgs with plenty of room for food and your own stuff.
In addition your guide will carry GPS, ELB and a mobile phone for emergencies.
You will be transported to and from the Aranga to Poutu walk from your accomodation at Kaihu Farm.
Cost: NZ$895.00 per person
This includes 2 nights accomodation, all meals, transport to and from the walk, a local guide and a souvenir package.
